DOCMA

About DOCMA

DOCMA – Doc Baumann’s magazine on digital imaging – primarily deals with work techniques and background information regarding digital imaging. The magazine is published four times a year from VVA-Kommunikation in Essen, Germany and is available retail, as a subscription and via web shop.

DOCMA appeals to picture developers, graphic artists, photographers and key-figures in the media branch who want to know what is technically doable and how to do it. The magazine provides its readers with knowledge on work techniques, shows the production of highly prominent montages and illustrations, reports on the occupational image, as well as practical techniques on digital imaging. The core of the magazine are workshops on Photoshop and its available plug-ins, as well as on other design programs. In addition to the print issue, there is a website with updated daily news and an email mailing list.

DOCMA is produced by Photoshop experts and technical journalists Doc Baumann and Christoph Künne. Their workshops over the last 20 years, which have been published in various manuals and magazines, such as Macup, Page, Computerfoto, c’t, Chip Foto Video, Fotoheft und Photographie, have accompanied many readers from the introduction of the subject matter to professional work with digital imaging.
